Denise Van Outen has today (June 16th) announced details of her new single, ‘From New York To LA’ – a “camp and fabulous” cover of Patsy Gallant’s classic 1977 disco hit.
Produced by pop impresario Steve Anderson (Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Louise), the track promise to showcase an all together new and different side to Denise as a recording artist and will feature an extra special intro by Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.
Released to celebrate Pride Month in the UK, Denise says of the single: “I’ve always been a big supporter of Pride month and am proud to be an LGBTQ+ ally for decades now. I wanted to shoot a video that was inclusive and something that everyone could enjoy and sing along to. It was great to collaborate with Steve Anderson on this feel-good dance record. I hope everyone enjoys Pride 2022 and has an amazing time this Summer.”
News of Van Outen’s new single comes just months after the release of the West End stars autobiography ‘A Bit of Me: From Basildon to Broadway, and Back’ – a brutally honest, no holds barred account of the Essex natives life and career to date.
