Nadine Coyle returns with new single 'Go To Work'

Nadine Coyle is back with a bang and making a pop comeback with her new single, ‘Go To Work’.

Best known for being one fifth of girlband sensation Girls Aloud, the Irish songstress made her solo debut in 2010 with a single and album entitled Insatiable. However, seven years later and Nadine is better than ever and we guarantee that you’re going to love her new track.

‘Go To Work’ sees Nadine team up with Brian Higgins (Xenomania), who was a key part of Girls Aloud’s success. The track is an electric, high-energy offering which showcases Nadine’s distinct powerhouse vocals. There’s no doubt that the song is catchy after just one listen, and we love the dance vibe throughout.

Speaking about the track, Nadine said: “When you’re constantly writing you write a lot about relationships and so it was like ‘what else annoys you about being in relationships?’ and they came up with this idea of writing about them being lazy and not getting up in the mornings.”

Listen to ‘Go To Work’ below.

Despite teaming up with Brian Higgins, ‘Go To Work’ certainly isn’t Girls Aloud 2.0 as Nadine is keen to carve out her own sound. “We weren’t trying to make it sound like Girls Aloud, we weren’t trying to make it sound the opposite, it was just a blank canvas. It’s exciting,” she said.

Nadine posted a video message on Twitter yesterday from rehearsals. She shared her gratitude for all the support received for the song so far.

We can expect a music video for ‘Go To Work’ very soon, after this short preview was shared on YouTube.

In a recent interview with Wonderland Magazine, Nadine spoke about the feeling of being signed to Virgin EMI. She said: “(It feels) Surreal, completely surreal! I’ve got the chance to do it before and I’ve got the chance to do it again. It brings a tear to my eye, everybody is so good and so amazing that I just feel really really really fortunate.”

When asked if she was working towards an EP or an album, she said: “We have so many songs; Brian and I have been working for a year and a half, two years, so to say how many songs, pushing 100. So you can just pick out the best ones. ‘Go To Work’ just fitted.”
